The Optical Movement Throw Blanket was created as a personal challenge. DittoHouse's Molly wanted to see how much optical activity she could get with only 4 yarn colors. She created the design and was thrilled to see that juxtaposing diagonal lines created the illusion of so many more than 4 colors. As color maestro Josef Albers says “We experience the fact that color and seeing color depends on its juxtaposition with other colors, its shape, its placement, and especially upon its quantity. All of which is to say that any one color has innumerable looks.”

The throw blanket is knitted in the USA with sustainable fibers.

ABOUT DITTOHOUSE 
DittoHouse is a Cleveland, Ohio-based home textile brand founded in 2015 by Molly Fitzpatrick. Molly believes in sustainable textile design that will thrill and delight for years and be as lasting as the quality products they adorn. DittoHouse textiles transcend trends and are created with a rich appreciation of the important role textiles play in our lives.

DittoHouse works with family-run mills in the US and create thoughtful collections of textiles, in small batches using sustainable fibers whenever possible. The yarn used to make many DittoHouse products utilizes pre- and post- consumer textile waste. The waste cotton materials are expertly sorted by color and de-fiberized to be spun into new yarns. Since this ingenious process uses materials which have already been dyed, no new dying is needed to create these yarns.  

Free US delivery on orders over $150 and free international delivery on orders over $450. Orders are shipped from New York via US Postal Service or UPS Ground Service. Orders take 2-5 business days to process and once it is processed, your order will be shipped within 2 days. Transit time will vary depending on location and weather. Returns are accepted for full-priced merchandise within 14 calendar days upon delivery of your order.
